How would you know

who is it to be blamed?

If you see more than you look

If you talk more than you listen

If you don’t read the signs, how would you know

If you don’t pay enough attention to it

If you don’t see

If you don’t feel

You wouldn’t know

You’ll never know

2 Fridays ago, there was a party to celebrate Kar Wye’s birthday. So we gathered some interesting people with some things in common and went to Butter Factory to drink ourselves silly. Kar Wye was my friend from Secondary School. That seemed like eons ago when we were in the blue pinafore, going to classes in BBGS. The party was really fun. It was the first time I actually hung out with so many Malaysians outside of Malaysia. Nonetheless, they were a really a fun bunch =). One of the times that I really mean it when I said “It was a pleasure to know you”… heh!

Birthday Babe!

green scarf

I am still lovin that grey peg leg chinos I got awhile ago from across the bloody universe. It’s versatile. I can match it with a basic top and a statement accessory (in this case, it’s the green scarf) and I am good to go, work or weekends it doesn’t matter.

Pardon the clutter in my room. It’s too early in the morning.

Basic spaghetti strap top in blush pink from Mango.  Grey chinos from across the bloody universe. Green skinny silk scarf from Accessorize.

A close friend of mine got married 2 weeks ago in KL. It was fun that a group of us flew up to KL for a short weekend getaway as well as to attend his wedding, The wedding was very stylish and elegantly done. Held in the garden of one of the most luxurious hotels in KL, The Carcosa Sri Negara amidst the lush greenery of the Lake Gardens, away from the annoying hustle and bustle of downtown KL.

Since it was a garden wedding, I took the opportunity to shoot the wedding in Lomo. For this occasion, I chose to use the Kodak Elitechrome 100 (Expired) colored slides, pairing it with my Holga 135BC. It was my first time using Elitechrome but my second using Kodak. The cross-processed slides gives a very vivid and high contrast colors. Visible vignetting is visible giving the photos a dreamy, old skool feel. I hope that Bride and Groom liked the pictures because I sure did have fun snapping away during the wedding!

… Can be found in Papa Palheta

This quaint little coffee joint, tucked away in a small back alley off Hooper Road in Newton Circus is a haven for coffee lovers. I stumbled upon this curious place a few months back because it was owned by a friend from university. I must admit (not because the place is owned by my friend) I am smitten ever since my first visit. Stepping into the courtyard of Papa Palheta, you will be hit with the heavenly aroma of freshly brewed coffee in the midst of the busy barristas whipping up your favourite cup of java and the busy chatter of the patrons. Just the perfect place for a lazy Sunday afternoon…
