Went to TWG in Takasimaya yesterday for lunch with Kar Wye. It was my first time actually getting a place in TWG and I must say the place is pretty posh. Plus I think their super fantastically extensive stock of teas is worth a mention. Being spoilt for choice is an understatement. I had the Charlemange Tea. I picked it up because I just remembered Charlemange from his statue in front of the Notre Dame (and honestly I really didn’t know what to choose).

In summary, I really loved the place. Think I will be back with Shevonne or something.

After that, we went shopping for a “pale pink” dress for Kar Wye’s friend’s wedding. And we concluded that pale pink is really not our color. Too sweet and dainty, not us… not BBGS in fact… hehe.

Sir Teapots, the teapots in armour!!

Wore the Macrame Dress from Smooch (I am such a Smooch fanatic!) in nude for the brunch and shopping. People actually complimented my dress (*winks*). I am loving every bit of this smooch line =)

I missed Italian food badly since returning from Italy. So I convinced hubsters to go either Pasta Brava or Michelangelo’s for dinner yesterday. He chose the latter. Food at Michelangelo’s in Chip Bee Gardens, Holland V was authentic enough to the actual Italian food. Pasta was great, carpaccio was good enough. Hubsters was a bit annoyed that they tried to “localised” the risotto though with chilli.I guess some localization is inevitable.

For Antipasti, we ordered a Beef Carpaccio to share. I have to admit, it was good. For mains, we went for Primi Piatti only. I ordered Tortellini Gorgonzola while hubsters went for Risotto Fritti di Mare. And I had a Prosecco from Veneto and hubster had a Riesling, finishing off with w Panna Cotta. Serving was very generous, service was good. Panna cotta was not as delicious as the ones in Venice, but I guess with it’s rarity here, I can’t complaint too much. Total food bill came up to around $145 inclusive of tax and service charge. A bit on the high side but I’ll pay for authentic Italian food =).

Panna Cotta!! my current favourite italian dessert =)

After dinner, we headed to Wavehouse at Siloso Beach to watch The Black Velvet’s performance for a charity event called Rock Oustic or something. Wore my new pink shantung skirt with a cotton oversized tank top from Smooch for this.

Our Epicurial date this weekend took us to Canele in Scotts road. We were extremely lucky to get the window seat (the best seat in the house in my opinion!). Had the best macaroon I have tasted so far but I guess this won’t stand for long. I will be going to either Cafe Laduree or Pierre Herme while in Paris!. As usual we cam whore-d a little, had great macarons and talk about random stuffs… then went shopping.
